Discovering the Feminine Aspect of Spiritual Experience
A week-end workshop exploring the feminine aspect of spiritual experience through Tarot symbolism, the archetypes of astrology, and other traditions that honour the feminine.
The author Hilary Hart (“Body of Wisdom – Women’s spiritual Power and how it serves”; “The Unknown She - eight Faces of an Emerging Consciousness”; ‘Spiritual Ecology’ with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee etc.) will join the group for two interactive video-sessions from New Mexico.
‘I want every woman I know and love to connect with the tender and powerful message of ‘Body of Wisdom’. This is not merely a treatise about the deep and glorious possibilities of women’s spiritual nature, it is an immersion in the shared longing of our hearts. An encounter like this is both rare and completely natural….’ Regina Sara Ryan, Author of ‘The Woman Awake: Feminine Wisdom for Spiritual Life’.
David Bennett will explore the important role of The Feminine in the symbolism and central archetypes of both Astrology and Tarot, and why, by grasping this, each of us can shed much light into our individual lives.
Eva-Maria Martin Troy will focus on medicinal herbs which have been used for centuries to heal and to maintain feminine health. She will also lead us on a guided walk in the countryside around La Maison Normande to discover them growing in the wild and in the garden.
Jean-Louis Rébut, Mâitre de Chapelle, will take us on a brief practical introduction to sacred vocal music, focusing in particular on Gregorian Chant, its origins and its relationship to the wealth of Romanesque chapels in the area. Michaela Fillion-Robin, Music therapist and professional musician, will give a demonstration of the healing power of sound. A visit to the superb 10th century chapel of St Christophe la Montagne, which is close by, will form part of this section.
Each morning, Amanda Weber will lead an optional Yoga class at La Maison Normande to start the day.
